Welcome to Paradise
Located within the traditional territory of the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nations, where the temperate rainforest meets the Pacific Ocean, Tofino Yoga was founded to bridge the gap between yoga, wellness and the environment. Connection to nature, specifically the ocean, is the north star of all our offerings.
Not your typical yoga studio, Tofino Yoga is on a mission to redefine where and how yoga services and educational immersions are offered.
Whether at the beach or within beautifully curated retreat spaces, our classes, yoga teacher training and programs are offered with Tofino’s beautiful backdrop as our canvas.
Having been in the education and yoga field for more than 20 years, Tofino Yoga provides nurturing spaces and authentic teaching in various yoga modalities. Our deep and genuine connection to nature is truly what sets-up apart.|
Come and move to the ebb and flow of the ocean or learn in our classroom set deep within ancient cedar trees. Let us welcome you through a truly “off the beaten mat” experience.
Tribal Parks Ally
Tofino Yoga has agreed to support the Tribal Parks by collecting a 1% Ecosystem Service Fee on behalf of the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nations. Those contributions are re-invested in the people and the ecology that comprise the life of this place.
Dede MonetteDede is a passionate and dedicated yoga teacher, who came to yoga as a child and whose inspiration is drawn from nature. After Dede’s mother passed away prematurely from brain cancer, she was called to follow her life’s calling and to inspire people to do the same, hence, Tofino Yoga was born.
With 20 years of experience teaching yoga, Dede teaches various yoga modalities such as the Tofino Yoga Teacher Training 200hr and 300hr, yin, restorative and trauma informed yoga. She also has the blessing to teach specialized workshops within First Nations communities.
Dede has been studying yoga since 1996, both in India and North America. She trained under the dedicated instruction of Gopalakrishnan Poonoor, from Kerala India, Kerry Lawson of Tusket Nova-Scotia, Natalie Rousseau and Rebekka Walker both from BC, Canada.
Dede is the grateful Mama of two beautiful children and the wife of a wonderful nature loving man.
