Why Us?
Dr Mike Martin has 31 years of experience as a psychologist. He has operated a men’s mental health practice called Bloke Therapy since 2014. He offers individual and group treatment for various mental health and criminogenic issues. He has worked with male offenders to provide assessment and treatment.
He has submitted assessment reports to the Local Court, the Children’s Court, and the Family Court of Australia as well as the Workers Compensation Commission. From 2004 to 2010, he was Head of Psychology at the Australian Institute of Sport, where he established Australia’s first athlete mental health program which provided treatment, risk assessments, and referrals.
He has also provided mental health assessments and treatment for primary and high school students with trauma relating to sexual abuse, behavioural difficulties, and developmental disorders. Additionally, he has taught psychology at University of New South Wales Medical School, University of Wollongong and University of Western Sydney.
